Derived from the rhythmic arrangement of sharp scales on a pineapple, Pineapple Pins offers a four-step solution to the persistent problem of picking, using, and storing push pins. The design is versatile, ergonomic, and user-friendly, making it suitable for all age groups and scenarios involving the use of push pins. From its size to its eco-friendly materials, Pineapple Pins is a unique blend of functionality and design.

The packaging is produced from recyclable and biodegradable ground cardboard, replacing traditional plastic cases. The push pins are attached using existing manufacturing methods, making the unit easily mass manufacturable. The print is achieved with a flexographic printing process, further reinforcing the brand's commitment to sustainability.

With dimensions of 80mm x 80mm x 80mm, the packaging is optimized for convenience. It fits easily into hands, pockets, and carry-ons, and can hold a larger quantity of pins per pack compared to existing plastic cases. The design is not only practical but also aesthetically pleasing, with a logo design inspired by biomimicry.

When opened, the package reveals an array of pins on each inner face, which can be flipped inside out for easier use. The pins can be placed back or simply dropped into the package after use, making it a versatile and easy-to-use solution. The project, which started in December 2019 and was completed in July 2020 in Mumbai, India, is a testament to Sarthak Tavate's innovative approach to design.
